Filling Out PDFs

Below you will find several options for entering information PDF documents.

 

Fill & Sign

Fill & Sign is a free feature that can be used to fill out and sign PDF documents with Adobe Reader.

  • PDFs can be made using Microsoft Print to PDF. No one requires a license of Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • This feature does not record date and time of signatures that are added to the file.
  • If you need multiple people to sign a document you need to pass the file to each signee consecutively to add their signature.

Adobe Forms

Forms can be created to control how a document is filled out.

  • Adobe Acrobat Professional is required to create the form but not to fill it out.
  • Signees will need to create a signature file. The date and time of each signature is recorded.
  • If you need multiple people to sign a document you need to pass the file to each signee consecutively to add their signature.

Adobe Sign (Not Included)

Adobe Sign is a feature that adds functionality to Adobe Forms. It is a cloud-based e-signature service that allows the user to send, sign, track, and manage signature processes using a browser or mobile device.

  • Adobe Acrobat Professional is required to create the form but not to fill it out.
  • Adobe Sign sends the file to everyone simultaneously and collects the signature from each signee to attach it to the document.
  • Adobe Sign is not included in the CUNY license so you will need to purchase a license of this feature separately.

    Requesting Adobe Acrobat Professional

    Faculty and Staff can request the use of Adobe Acrobat Professional from the Academic Computing Center. Before we can process your request, we will need to obtain approval from your department chair or supervisor. If you would like to expedite the request, you can get the approval and forward it to us with your request. Please send requests to ACCSupport@qcc.cuny.edu
